Gulf Medical University congratulates Prof. Dr. Mohsen M.El Sayyad, Dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences of Gulf Medical University for being selected by the nominated Judging Panel of the 2nd Annual Scientific e-Health Conference 2010 which was held on April 5th & 6th, 2010 for the Best Presentation Award the Presentation titled “Measurement Variations in School Screening Programs for Scoliosis.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and President of Hamdan Bin Mohammed e- University, the 2nd Annual Scientific e-Health Conference 2010 was held on April 5th & 6th, 2010. It focused on potential environmental risks that turn into serious threats to human life will continue its mission towards raising awareness of the latest developments and advancements. Exploring the latest trends and technologies in e-Health , guests including a group of world researchers are shedding light on the critical relationships between environment and health, and giving their insights on the significance of e-Health systems as a central means to the future provision of efficient and high quality health care, while it is becoming a must for environmentalists and health professional; to have an unlimited electronic access to health and environment knowledge systems and services.

As a leading academic institution internationally recognized for tapping into technology and capitalizing on technology potentials, being the first e-learning university in the UAE, the HBMeU has dedicated one session for a live video broadcast of a robotic surgery conducted in Greece. Conference addressed the challenges in e-Health, Environment and Water Resources, and will deliver a consortium to appreciate the changes in the healthcare and environmental models, keeping in view the environmental changes’ appreciation and apprehensions globally and in the UAE, in particular, to promote a better quality of life.

The conference provides also networking opportunities, bringing together representatives from Ministry of Health, Ministry of Environment and Water, Senior Healthcare Executives, Environmental Policy Makers, Healthcare Professionals, NGO’s interested in environmental issues, Scholars, Researchers, Water Resource Industry leaders to discuss and address the challenges to the dynamics of innovations in e-Health, Environment and Water Resources.
