The Kerala minister for Education, Mr. E.T Mohammed Basheer visited the Gulf Medical College Ajman on the 12th of September 2005. He was highly impressed by the infrastructure and the facilities at the college. The academic ambience is very stimulating and no wonder students from all over the world are drawn to this institution, he told the president of the college.
Mr. E.T Mohammed Basheer also congratulated Mr.Thumbay Moideen the Founder president of Gulf Medical College on his achievement for successfully having established a world-class medical institution, which is turning into a benchmark from a landmark and is in par with international standards of medical education.
The College is approved by the ministry of education and is listed in the IMED under the auspices of FAIMER and list in the world directory of Medical schools by WHO.
Gulf Medical College, Ajman has emerged in the forefront in the field of Medical Education in U.A.E. in the last 6 years. The college offers two programs: MBBS program (6 years duration including 1 year of compulsory internship) and the BPT program (Bachelor of Physiotherapy – 4 years).
Apart from the academic programs, Gulf Medical College Ajman is in the forefront of Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Professional Development Programs. The college has organizing International and Regional conferences and Symposia. The college also publishes a quarterly Health magazine – GMC Health Journal, as part of its commitment to informative medical journalism.
