SYMPOSIUM ON LEARNER ASSESSMENT IN MEDICAL EDUCATION AND WORKSHOP ORGANISED BY GULF MEDICAL COLLEGE AJMAN 3rd MARCH – HILTON HOTEL, ABU DHABI
Gulf Medical College is in the sixth year of medical education and offers M.B.B.S and B.P.T Degree programs to both boys and girls of all nationalities. Medical education unit of GMC has been functioning for the last Four years the main function of the education unit is to provide information for the faculty & staff about the rapidly expanding field of education in general and medical education in particular. This forms part of the faculty development of the college. The Conference Secretariat along with GMC Medical Education Unit has conducted several conferences and symposia & workshops on topics of Medical education.
Special feature of the conference is active partition by the consultants & Specialist in Mafraq Hospital – Abu Dhabi and GMC Hospital Ajman. The theme of the symposium is Learner Assessment in Medical Education. The objective of the symposium will stress on the emerging trends in assessment in Medical Graduates. The symposium will be followed by a workshop on objective standard clinical examination (OSCE).
Apart from the academic programs, Gulf Medical College Ajman is in the forefront of Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Professional Development Programs. The college has organizing International and Regional conferences and Symposia. The college also publishes a quarterly Health Magazine-GMC Health Journal, as part of its commitment to informative medical journalism.
