Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities (AARU), Amman, Jordan visits Gulf Medical University

In response to its application for the membership in the Association of Arab University (AARU), Gulf Medical University (GMU) underwent inspection by Prof. Sultan Abu Orabi Al Adwan – Secretary General of the AARU, Amman, Jordan during his visit to the university recently.   The purpose of securing membership in AARU was to gain recognition in the Arab world and enhance further activities of GMU.

The visiting dignitary was accorded a warm welcome by Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost of GMU, the Directors, Deans of all the Colleges of GMU. Mr. Adwan was briefed with an audio-visual presentation followed by a visit to the various instructional facilities, academic departments and the biomedical student and research laboratories the University uses to impart quality education to its students.  Mr. Adwan also visited the newly inaugurated Learning and Information Centre at GMU which houses the multimedia laboratories, small group learning and discussion rooms and a graduate study centre.
