Multinational children with mental challenges from Manzil attend free dental checkup and awareness camp.

In continuation of the human endeavor, the College of Dentistry – Gulf Medical University (GMU) and GMC Medical & Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah conducted a free dental checkup and awareness camp for the students of Manzil on May 9, 2012. Manzil caters to diverse multinational children aged  4 to 30 years with mental challenges.  A team of Senior Specialist Dental Surgeons along with the Dental Students from the College of Dentistry, GMU carried out a comprehensive dental check up on 30 students from Manzil.

The camp was initiated with dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay, gum diseases and measures to prevent from them by proper way of brushing their teeth.

The students got ample opportunities to interact with the Dental surgeons and Dental Students and acquire knowledge concerning oral hygiene and quality dental oral care. On completion of the dental checkup each student was given a Patient Card for any follow up procedure at the Centre.

The Teachers of Manzil thanked Thumbay Group, Dental Students from Gulf Medical University and Dental Surgeons of GMC Medical & Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah for rendering moral and selfless service to the school.
