Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, UAE awards degree certificates to Gulf Medical University graduates on the eve of Seventh Convocation Ceremony held on 23rd of January, 2011.

Chief Guest His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council, UAE and Ruler of Ajman awarded degree certificates to 66 Gulf Medical University graduates during the Seventh Convocation Ceremony held on the 23rd of January, 2011 at 06-30 PM at Al Zawraa Ball Room, Ajman Kempinski Hotel and Resort, Ajman.

The grand ceremony was also graced by distinguished guests like H.E. Sheikh Dr. Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman – Ruler’s Court, Ajman, UAE, H.E. Dr. Hanif Hassan, Minister of Health – UAE, and Mr. B. Ahmed Haji Mohiudeen, Chairman – BA Group, India as the Guest of Honour, other distinguished guests representing government departments and embassies stationed in U.A.E. and abroad, members of BOG and Academic Council.

Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of Gulf Medical University presided over the ceremony in the presence of the Provost Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, important guests, faculty and parents of the medical students of Gulf Medical University. He congratulated the fraternity of health professionals of the 2011 batch of the Gulf Medical University graduates and assured them of the unwavering support at all times.

Prof. Gita Ashok Raj – Provost of Gulf Medical University addressed the gathering by emphasizing on the importance of Convocation. She added that Convocation is a milestone in the life of every graduate, who after years of hard work is finally granted the degree. And as a graduate it is also a day when they will be taking the oath of serving humanity and step into practice of the art of medicine and health care, to utilize their clinical competence to make a difference to the lives of people of whom they will be called upon to serve.

Currently many GMU graduates are successfully serving far and wide both in UAE and outside the country especially in USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Germany, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the neighboring GCC countries.

Ms. Rhythm Bhalla and Ms. Manisha Khaira have been declared as the best outgoing students from the MBBS and BPT streams respectively.

Gulf Medical University is recognized and approved as an Institution for Higher Education by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE. It is listed in the WHO Directory of Medical Schools and also listed in IMED Directory.
