Immersive Simulation Training for Dental Students

The day long training of the dental students at CASH on  20th April 2014 aimed at the management of dental chair side emergencies. The theme of the day was Management of a patient with altered level of consciousness. The students worked in teams of two and managed various simulated scenarios of medical emergencies while their instructors and class mates watched their efforts from an adjacent lecture hall through live network .Post scenario was debriefing session with the Simulation and Clinical  Faculty including Dr.Erum Khan (CASH)  and Dr.Seesha Reddy (CoD) where students were given constructive feedback on their management of the case focusing on following the Algorithm, team communication and crisis resource management. The session was well appreciated by the students.
