IFC-World Bank Group Official visits Gulf Medical College On 29th Jan 2008
Gulf Medical College, Ajman was honored with the visit of Mr Guy Ellena Director of the health and education department International Finance Corporation (IFC) World Bank, & Jessica C Wolfe, Investment Analyst from IFC, World Bank Group Washington, DC USA. The President of the College Mr. Thumbay Moideen received them and had an audience of H.H Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman in Rulers Court.
The Officials were taken round the college and shown the different departments and facilities provided to impart quality education to the students. They also visited the GMC Hospital which is a part of Gulf Medical College and is the first private 250 bed teaching hospital in the region. They were impressed that the college had an international faculty and a student cohort from 40 countries.
They were informed that the college is recognized by the Ministry of Education, U.A.E. It is also listed both in the IMED under the auspices of FAIMER and World Directory of Medical Schools by WHO.
Mr. Guy Ellena, Director of the Health & Education Department, IFC-World Bank Group congratulated the President of G.M.C, Mr. Thumbay Moideen for the good work he has been doing in the field of Medical Education and Healthcare Services, and on the successful completion of 9 years of the college and 5 years of the hospital and looked forward to be part of its growth both in UAE and in India.
Registration is now open at the Gulf Medical College for M.B.B.S, B.P.T. program and RACGP-Fellowship program for the batches of 2008-2009.
