HMSDC and GMC organized joint Conference On Respiratory Disease

Conference on Current Issues in Respiratory Disease was held in Hotel Radisson SAS Dubai Creek on 19th April 2007. This was a joint event between HMSDC and Gulf Medical College Ajman.

Gulf Medical College, Ajman has entered into a tie-up with The Harvard Medical School Dubai Center (HMSDC) Institute for Postgraduate Education and Research under the aegis of Dubai Healthcare City, to organize GMC Harvard Medical School Dubai Centre Seminars. HMSDC was launched in 2004 through a joint effort by Harvard Medical International and Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC). HMSDC is part of the Government of Dubai’s mission to develop DHCC into a center of excellence for health care delivery, medical education, and research.

Over 100 doctors from various government and private hospitals participated in the conference which covered topics like Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Ventilator Associated Pneumonia, Prevention and Treatment, CT Screening for Lung Cancer and Evaluation and Management of Dyspnea. Dr. Robert Thurer, Dr. Richard M. Schwartzstein and Dr. Ramzi Moufarrej delivered talks. A question and answer session followed.

The conference is accredited by the Harvard Medical School Dubai Center and certificates were presented to the participants by HMSDC.

The Conference Secretariat at Gulf Medical College has been in the forefront of organizing CME over the last six years. They have organized over 36 conferences, seminars, symposiums and workshops involving local regional and international experts.
