Health Communications Division – GMU
The mission of the Health Communications Division is to advance the quality of healthcare by optimizing the experience and process of healthcare communication through three major activities: education, publications, and partnerships. The division stresses the concept that effective healthcare communication is a necessity, not an option. We create and disseminate innovative educational programs and services. We also engage in collaborative scientific activities, and we partner with other leading organizations that share our vision.
The Health Communications Division was founded in 1999. Since that time the division has organized and conducted more than 100 conferences, seminars and workshops for more than 7,000 clinicians and health care workers. The division has extensively designed and developed an impressive array of continuing education programs, including workshops and faculty development courses.
HEALTH Journal is a Bi-monthly bi-lingual health magazine. HEALTH Journal has acquired permission from the world’s leading medical journals to reprint articles/abstracts and press releases published in these prestigious publications, from time to time. HEALTH Journal is in tie-up with the world-renowned Mayo Clinic- USA, Johns Hopkins-USA, Royal Australian College of general Practitioners, Sydney Australia and Ministry of Health UAE to carry articles from their experts.
The magazine, which is in its 10th year of publication, is one of the longstanding health publications in the region. It is highly respected and read by healthcare professionals and general public in the region and globally.
HEALTH Journal carries news and articles on the latest developments within the healthcare industry, letters and contributions from healthcare professionals from all over the world. The distribution is targeted mainly to healthcare professionals and Pharma/medical companies. The magazine is also circulated throughout U A E, Middle East and Globally through agents/distributors and enjoys a substantial readership amongst the General Public as well, as it carries articles on general health awareness. In short, the magazine is an excellent interactive medium and a useful source for Health Information to one and all.
With a print run of 20,000 copies and an expected readership of about 70,000, the HEALTH Journal provides an excellent medium of communication between companies and health care professionals in the region.
