Gulf Medical University, Conducts the White Coat Ceremony

Gulf Medical University is proud to announce the successful conduction of The WHITE COAT CEREMONY, held at the University Campus, in Ajman, on the 10th September 2009 at 12 P: M.

The Occasion was honored by the presence of the Chief Guest, H.E Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, CEO, PVT Medical Practice and Licensing, UAE and The Ceremony was presided over by the President of the University, Mr. Thumbay Moideen.

The President and the faculty members of the University welcomed over150 Students, of MBBS, BPT, DENTAL and PHARMACY Programs in which all were conferred the WHITE COATS that they will wear throughout their years as students and throughout their profession.

Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost of the University in her inaugural speech gave the valuable message of “Care and Compassion” that is required by the students. She said, “Today begins a whole new chapter in your life that will forever change who each of you will become. She also added by saying “Believe in yourselves, follow your hearts and reach for the Stars. Ultimately, my hope is that you will put use all your unique talents and interests for the benefit of your patients and for the profession of Medicine.

The Students then took the Pledge as a sign of their Medical Journey and commitment to the profession and to the community.

The Students then took the Oath as a sign of a medical journey and commitment to the profession and to the community, by believing that the White Coat is a symbol of compassionate care and expert professionalism.
