Gulf Medical University Chancellor Prof. Hossam Hamdy Attends the Annual Scientific Conference of Cairo University’s College of Medicine

Prof. Hossam Hamdy, Chancellor of Gulf Medical University, Ajman-UAE, attended the annual scientific conference of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, College of Medicine, Cairo University, Cairo on 22^nd February 2017.

He was invited to conduct a workshop and a round-table discussion on the theme ‘Innovation in Medical Education & Future Directions’. Prof. Hamdy also made a presentation on the model adopted at the College of Medicine, Gulf Medical University. The conference was attended by more than 1500 participants and invited guests from the US, UK, Belgium, Germany, etc.

The recommendations of Prof. Hossam Hamdy regarding making changes to the curriculum of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology were well received. The Chairman of the Department, Prof. Mohamed Zayed who is leading this innovation is a regular visitor to the Gulf Medical University, strengthening the relation between the two universities.

Prof. Hossam Hamdy said that to further strengthen the collaboration between both Universities, a Memorandum of Understanding was being developed.
