GULF MEDICAL COLLEGE to offer jobs to its graduates
Gulf Medical College, Ajman (GMCA) – one of the leading medical colleges in the region – receives its official “APPROVAL” from Ministry of Higher education and Scientific research for its M.B.B.S Program.
Gulf The GMC Hospital based in Ajman has announced that it will offer jobs to its new graduates after successful completion of their internship program. In a press release issued by the hospital, the Founder President, Mr. Thumbay Moideen mentioned that the college and the hospital would look forward to a continued relationship with its students on a long-term basis. We would like to initially offer Trainee jobs to our students, once they complete their internship program, which is going on at various hospitals abroad, including Al Mafraq, Jazeira and Al Qassimi Hospitals in the UAE, he said. ‘It would provide them with an opportunity to serve the people and the community in the UAE. Further, they would get more exposure and training under the guidance of experts from various specialties’ he added.
The criteria for selection would solely be based on merit and clinical acumen of the students. They will also be given an option for full time employment, as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. As the Ministry has stipulated strict regulations in terms of employing medical professionals, it all depends on their guidelines for recruiting trainee doctors, emphasized Mr. Moideen. We would like to provide our students with plenty of opportunities. They may join us as doctors or as teachers in the years to come, he said.
Thumbay Group, (promoters of the college and hospital) in its long-term plans, is planning to establish teaching and training hospitals and will be expanding with its operations in other emirates. GMC Hospital and Research Centre, Ajman is the first private teaching hospital in U.A.E with a capacity of 150 beds housed with modern facilities.
