Gulf Medical College and GMC Hospital Honoured by the visit of the Hon. Indian Ambassador to the U. A. E on 1st October 2005.

Indeed it was a great honor for the Gulf Medical College and the G.M.C Hospital, Ajman when the Hon. Indian Ambassador to the U.A.E , His Excellency Mr.Mohan Chandra Bhandari visited both the institutions. He was accompanied by Mr. Faizal K.E., Managing Director of Emirates Techno Castings, Ajman. The President of the College and hospital Mr.Thumbay Moideen received him.

The Ambassador was taken round the college and shown the different departments and facilities provided to impart quality education to the students. He was impressed that the college had an international faculty and a student cohort from 36 countries.

He was informed that the college is recognized by the Ministry of Education, U.A.E. It is also listed both in the IMED under the auspices of FAIMER and World Directory of Medical Schools by WHO. The college has the M.B.B.S and B. P.T programs for both boys and girls of all Nationalities.

Later His Excellency visited the Hospital and when shown through the various departments and facilities offered were highly impressed. He commended on the use of state of the art technology and latest instruments for the treatment of patients.

The Ambassador congratulated the President of G.M.C , Mr.Thumbay Moideen for the good work he has been doing in the field of Medical Education and Healthcare Services, and on the successful completion of 7 years of the college and 3 years of the hospital. He also had a good word for the Faculty, Specialists consultants, doctors, nurses and rest of the staff on their contribution to the success of the G.M.C institutions.
