GMU Hosts Workshop on Electronic Log of Patient Encounters and Clinical Procedures

The Medical Education Unit and College of Medicine of the Gulf Medical University jointly organized a ‘Workshop on Electronic Log of Patient Encounters and Clinical Procedures’ at the University campus on Tuesday, 13^th October 2015.

All clinical faculty members and professional staff of GMC Hospital involved in teaching medical students of GMU attended the program.

The aim of the workshop was to empower the participants to be able to perform the process of entry of the clinical logs of student at the student interface of the online clinical log tracking system, to use electronic logs at the clinical instructor interface to monitor the clerkship posting of the medical student/s and to prepare clerkship posting summary at the end of each clinical rotation (clerkship chairs / coordinators only).

Prof. Susirith Mendis, Dr. Pankaj Lamba and Prof. Manda Venkatramana handled the various sessions. The workshop concluded with an evaluation and feedback session.
