GMC Medical and Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah reaches out to the students of Rosary School (Halwan).

Dental Surgeon and paramedical staff from GMC Medical and Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah visited the students of Rosary School (Halwan) to hold a Free Dental Consultation on March the 08^th, 2012.  Spearheading the talk on dental awareness Dr. Deepti Pinheiro educated the  students about common dental ailments, especially stressing on tooth decay and gum diseases and remedial measures to prevent from them.  The students were highlighted about the eating patterns and food choices which ultimately cause tooth decay. The students also got ample opportunities to interact with the dental doctors to enquire and gain knowledge concerning oral diseases.

While dental checkup was carried out, each student received leaflets with reasonable discounts for any follow up procedure at the GMC Medical and Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah.

Out of a total of 328 students from Grade 2 and 6 that were checked, 220 students were identified with decayed teeth and 108 students were free of caries in their permanent teeth.

The Principal of Rosary School thanked the dental surgeons, paramedical staff and the management of GMC Medical & Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah for rendering moral and selfless service to the school.
