GMC Hospital, Ajman-U.A.E. conducts the Annual Healthy Baby Contest, 2011.
More than 140 contestants participated in the “GMC Hospital Annual Healthy Baby Contest, 2011”. The contest which is one of a kind in the UAE was held at Gulf Medical University campus on April 08, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. Children ranging from ages 3 months – 1 Year, 1 – 2 Years and 2 – 3 Years participated in the colourful event. They thoroughly enjoyed Face painting, Clown balloon folding, Dual image show, Juggler, Stilt walker, Carnival, Gifts & Samples Quiz, Games, Entertainment and Laughter show.
The objective of the show was “Know your child better”. The contest was held to raise community awareness about the importance of teaching children good health and nutrition habits at an early age. Establishing proper habits in early childhood can lead to living a healthy lifestyle. The contest also promoted health consciousness among mothers regarding different factors affecting the health of children and how they could detect diseases in children at an early stage.
The winners of the Annual Health Baby Contest, 2011 were awarded the prizes by the Chief Guest Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost of the Gulf Medical University.

GMC Hospital announced the next Annual Healthy Baby Contest on the 06th of April, 2012.
GMC Hospital, Department of Pediatrics offers a wide range of services to children from the neonatal period till the age of 12 years. Parents who were present/participated in the contest were briefed about the importance of healthy lifestyle and also about inculcating good eating habits during early childhood. To prevent diseases in infants in later part of the life the parents were urged to inculcate good and healthy habits as early as when the child is in utero and early infancy.
