FIRST IN THE MIDDLE EAST – GMC HOSPITAL AJMAN-UAE GETS QHA-TRENT ACCREDITATION

GMC Hospital based in Ajman uae, owned and run by the THUMBAY group is the first hospital in the Middle East to receive the prestigious QHA-TRENT ACCREDITATION. The hospital has brought about lot of changes since the beginning of the accreditation process and has excelled in Management, Delivery of Quality Healthcare to patients. The standards adopted by the hospital are in par with world standards and is glad to have got ACCREDITATED by QHA-TRENT which assures the patient about the quality of Care.

The Certificate of Accreditation was handed over to Mr. Thumbay Moideen Founder President, GMC Hospital in the presence of Mr. Akbar Moideen Thumbay Director of GMC Hospital by Dr. Tim O’Carrol, Award Panel Chairman, Along with Andrea Bennett Lead Surveyor & Elizabeth COO of QHA-Trent in LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM

QHA-Trent Accreditation aims to offer those who commission health services as well as the public, an objective means of being assured of the general quality of certain services. They evaluate a vast range of modalities of a hospital’s activities and governance, including management, equipment, clinical audit, research, training, and education, as well as clinical/medical activity. When the hospital or service meets or exceeds the criteria, two years’ full accreditation is awarded.

The QHA-Trent Accreditation is the only whole hospital accreditation based with the UK National Health Services (NHS.) Consequently have access to all the up-to-date medical practices. The QHA-Trent Accreditation standards are revised as practices change and new guidelines are issued by practicing staff. The QHA- Trent Accreditation is a real peer review scheme where surveyors can talk on an equal basis with staff in hospitals while understand fully the situation.

In its overseas work the QHA-Trent Accreditation involves local people in setting the local standards so that the standards reflect local practice and culture.
