Experts discuss comprehensive dental care

College of Dentistry, a constituent college of Gulf Medical University organized a Conference on Inter Disciplinary Approach for Comprehensive Dental Care at its campus on Saturday. More than 75 doctors and healthcare professionals from all over UAE attended the seminar. The conference was held in association with the Ministry of Health.

Prof. Gita Ashok Raj, Provost of Gulf Medical University inaugurated the conference and honored the speakers.

The scientific session included talks from Dr. Sheela Balu Abraham from College of Dentistry University of Sharjah on Tooth Bleaching.

Dr. Amna Al Shamsi, from Ministry of Health discussed about Use of Ozone gas to influence white spot lesions around orthodontic brackets.

Dr. Vijay Desai, Faculty at Ajman University spoke about Periodontal

Regeneration Enhanced. Dr. Maha Sadek, a senior faculty member at College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University highlighted on the Guide lines of good occlusal practice for a more predictable outcome.

Dr. Reem Haj Ali, from University of Sharjah talked about Prosthodontic perspectives of dental Implantology. The conference concluded with a talk from Prof. Saeed Abdellatif, Dean of College of Dentistry Gulf Medical University on Sinus Lift. Prof. Rani Samsudin, Dean of Dental College University of Sharjah chaired the sessions.

The conference was accredited by the Ministry of Health for 5.5 CME Hrs and is being organized by the College of Dentistry, as part of its professional development programs.
