Delegates from Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM), University of Colombo, Sri Lanka visits Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman for Academic Collaboration


A team of delegates from Postgraduate Institute of Medicine (PGIM),    University of Colombo, Sri Lanka led by Prof. Mohamed Hussain Rezvi Sheriff, Director  visited the Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman, U.A.E. for possible collaboration to develop Short Term Certificate Program in Family Medicine and other short term courses including opportunities for GMU postgraduate research students  to pursue research and project work were broadly discussed.    The visiting delegation was accorded a warm welcome by the Founder President of Gulf Medical University Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Prof. Arifulla, Dean-Admissions and Registrar of GMU  and the academic team.


The visiting delegation were briefed to an audio-visual presentation followed by a visit to various medical facilities, departments and advanced laboratories the University uses to impart quality medical education to the students.  They have also visited the newly inaugurated Learning and Information Centre which houses multimedia laboratories, learning and discussion rooms and the Graduate Study Centre.  They were highly impressed that the GMU had an international faculty, modern and advanced  facilities and the exceptional teaching arrangements to offer to all its students and felt extremely satisfied with the professional educational structure.
