Thumbay Hospital Fujairah Supports Walkathon for Taxi Drivers

Thumbay Hospital – Fujairah, the leading academic hospital owned and operated by Thumbay Group supported the 3km walkathon for taxi drivers conducted in Fujairah on Saturday, 5^th March 2016 . The walkathon was held as part of the Taxi Drivers Sports Day organized by Cars Taxi, and was the first such event focusing mainly on taxi drivers.

The hospital contributed to the efforts of the organizers as ‘Health Services Support Partner’ by providing medical checkups to more than 400 participant drivers, checking their vitals and conducting pre-walkathon fitness screening for all participants. In addition, they also provided first-aid & ambulance services throughout the event.

In addition, around 30 Thumbay Hospital staff formed a human chain to spread health awareness amongst the participants. They also cheered the walkathon participants. The management of Cars Taxi appreciated the support provided by Thumbay Hospital. The event also saw the presence of several esteemed dignitaries.
