GMU Conducts Workshop on ‘Small Group Teaching & Learning’

The College of Medicine and the Medical Education Unit of Gulf Medical University, Ajman jointly conducted a workshop on ‘Small Group Teaching & Learning’, at the University campus, on 20^th and 21^st October, 2015.

Attended by all clinical faculty members and professional staff of GMC Hospital Ajman involved in teaching medical students of GMU, the workshop was aimed at empowering the participants to describe the concepts of small group learning, develop awareness of the manner in which small group learning is conducted in Phase III of the medical curriculum at GMU, observe a case-based learning session being conducted for Phase III, and develop skills in conducting a case-based learning session.

Prof.  Susirith Mendis, Dr. Syed Shehnaz Ilyas, Dr. Pankaj Lamba, Dr. Irene Nirmala and Prof. Manda Venkatramana led the various sessions. The program concluded with a workshop evaluation and feedback.
