Simulated Eye Clinic- clinical skills session

Dr Pankaj Lamba FRCS(Glasg), Assistant Professor in Ophthalmology conducted a Basic Clinical Session where a simulated Eye Clinic was set up at C.A.S.H for undergraduate medical students of Gulf Medical university. The clinic provided opportunity for the students to learn ophthalmology skills in a safe environment under expert supervision and constructive feedback.

Hands on session in small groups in Mock OPDs included,

1. Direct Ophthalmoscopy
2. Visual Acuity assessment
3. Torch light examination of the eye

Students appreciated the activity a lot, especially the simulated Ophthalmology Dept equipped with relevant simulators.
