Gulf Medical College, Ajman (GMCA) – one of the leading medical colleges in the region – receives its official “APPROVAL” from Ministry of Higher education and Scientific research for its M.B.B.S Program.

Gulf Medical College, Ajman (GMCA) is currently recognized as an institution of higher education by Ministry of Higher Education and scientific Research (MOHE). The M.B.B.S program conducted by the college has received “ Accreditation Eligible Status” from the Ministry.

The graduation certificate of Gulf Medical College will be attested by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and will be accepted throughout the world. The graduates of Gulf Medical College will be accepted all around the world and qualified to apply for USMLE, PLAB and also go for their post graduation and specialization studies abroad.

Gulf Medical college is the brainchild of Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President, and came into existence by a Decree (No.1) issued by H.H. Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, UAE on January 28, 1998. The college has progressed remarkably well, thanks to the wholehearted support and co-operation of the local rulers and support from the Ministry of Higher education & scientific Research and is in the 6th year of its academic program. The college has placed all its final year’s students in various M.O.H approved hospitals for Internship and the CRRI program is well coordinated by the college in various local hospitals and Abroad.

“The main aim of GMCA is to impart high quality medical education to both boys and girls of all nationalities.” The courses offered at our well reputed institution is the MBBS Degree program which is for a duration of 5 years plus one year internship training with an annual intake of 60 students and the BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) Degree course which is for a duration of 4 years with an annual intake of 25 students. Clinical Training for students is provided at the prestigious GMC Hospital, Ajman, Iranian Hospital in Dubai and Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The CRRI program / Internship is conducted in the following hospitals : Mafraq Hospital – Abu Dhabi, Al Qasami Hospital – Sharjah, Al Jazeira Hospital – Abu Dhabi and tied up with various other institutions overseas such as Jordan University – Jordan, Hamad Medical Corporation – Doha Qatar and Salmania Hospital – Ministry of Health Bahrain and Suez Canal University – Ismalia Egypt.

Training at the college is on par with any of the best and well established medical schools in the world. The college has students from over 36 nationalities. The teaching faculty at GMCA consists of highly qualified and well experienced professors who are dedicated and fully committed to provide the students with good training in the medical field to make them competent doctors.

The Summer Training program which is a special feature of the college, is a unique concept introduced by the college to enable students to get international exposure and experience in clinical training. All our clinical students are sponsored each year by the college to participate in clinical training in leading universities and hospitals in several countries, including USA, UK, Germany, India, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

The Gulf Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Ajman is the first university hospital in the U.A.E with a capacity of 150 beds housed with ultra modern facilities. The women’s Health Centre, Hi-Tech Laboratory, Modern lCU & CCU Facilities, 24 hours pharmacy, Modern Radiology Department, On call doctor service, Fertility centre, Emergency, Frequent visits from various doctors around the globe are some the various features and services offered by the hospital. The hospital is issuing international health card, which offers attractive discounts at GMC Hospital and over 60 international hospitals. The hospital has recently opened “PUBLIC HEALTH CLINIC”, which undertakes medical check-up for visa renewal and medical check-up for new residence visa.
