College of Dentistry, GMU holds a free Medical & Dental Camp at GMC Medical & Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah.

In a move to promote oral health,  College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University conducted a free  medical and dental camp recently at GMC Medical and Dental Specialty Centre, Sharjah .

A record number of more than 620 patients of over 40 nationalities attended the free health camp.

The main objective of the camp was to bring about  awareness  in the public of the importance of Oral Health which leads to overall health.

The highlights of the camp were Free Blood Glucose checkup, Free Blood Pressure check up, Free Comprehensive Dental checkup, Free consultation with Internal Medicine Specialist, Orthopedic Surgeon and Gynecologist, Demonstration of proper brushing techniques etc.

All the patients who visited the free health camp received free medicines and toothpastes.  For all patients requiring further dental treatment free dental procedures were carried out by the students under the guidance of experienced specialist teaching faculty.

The Dental Teaching Clinics at GMC Medical and Dental Centre, Sharjah is equipped with state of the art dental units and sophisticated Intra-Oral Cameras, Digital X-Ray Machines, Ultra- Sonic Cleaner and zoom bleaching. Dental procedures like cleaning of teeth, replacement of missing teeth, root canal treatment, fillings, crowns and bridges, X-Rays and bleaching of teeth are some of the extraordinary services performed by the students free of cost .
