They also mentioned that in many cases the symptoms are not clear except for the ones that are in advanced stages. For example, the symptoms such as loss of appetite, weight loss, pain, swelling in the foot and others.
But thanks to the development of new medicines, it is much easier now to discover and detect the advancement of its stages. In addition to this it also depends on the age and health of the woman diagnosed with cancer and her desire in having children in the future.
“We always strive in giving full attention to women’s health in all aspects. So we are obligated in raising such awareness through educating women about different diseases that are spread on a huge scale. Unfortunately, some people are not aware and not educated enough about the present disease. With the association of GMC Hospital, Ajman we were able to educate and raise awareness in women about Cervical Cancer which is the second largest cancer prevalent amongst women after breast cancer. We sincerely hope that we had an active role in spreading awareness and knowledge in early detection and prevention in the early stages of this disease”, said Badria Al Ali, Head of Media and Marketing.
