Costs and charges
QHA Trent believes in transparency in charging.

Calculating the overall cost (including fees, surveyor flight costs & surveyor living expenses) associated with a typical first survey (with an included pre-survey visit) of a hospital or polyclinic, delivered entirely by UKsourced experts:

When surveying a hospital or a clinic with beds, the charges incurred take into account a number of factors, including:
  • the number of beds in the hospital or

  • the number of surveyors needed and the number of days the survey will take (which, in turn, are based on the size of the hospital)

  • public versus private ownership of the hospital

  • any optional services requested

  • the fees charged by QHA Trent

Prices for working with clinics without beds will be subject to a different scale of fees.

The Total cost for a QHA Trent survey = the sum of (1) + (2) + (3) + (4) (+/- (5))

(1) QHA Trent’s fee for arranging the pre-survey visit: see below
(2) QHA Trent’s fee for arranging the survey: see below
(3) Pre-survey visit - costs associated with travel and subsistence

  • Undertaken usually by one UK-sourced expert

  • Four to five days duration in total

  • Pre-survey visit - lasting 2 days

  • 1 to 2 days prior to pre-survey visit (to allow for jet lag recovery)

  • 1 day post-visit

  • Air fare X 1 (usually)

  • Combined hotel costs and expert’s per diem X 1 (usually)

(4) The survey itself - costs associated with travel and subsistence
  • Undertaken by two to six UK-sourced surveyors (occasionally more)

  • Five to nine days duration (occasionally more or less)

  • 2 to 6 days survey period

  • 1 to 2 days pre-survey (to allow for jet lag recovery)

  • 1 day post-survey

  • Air fares X 2 to 6

  • Combined hotel costs and surveyors’ per diem X 2 to 6

(5) Optional: Cost of two to three day preparatory training seminar delivered by 2 experienced UK sourced speakers
  • QHA Trent’s fee for arranging the seminar (see below)

  • Total duration - 5 days (to allow for jet lag recovery)

  • Air fares X 2

  • Combined hotel costs and speakers’ per diem X 2

To reiterate, the total cost of the survey = the sum of (1) + (2) + (3) + (4) (+/- (5))
