GMC Hospital organized the Second GMC Annual Healthy Baby Contest 2008 with over 150 Babies participating on 29th February at Gulf Medical College, Ajman
 
 

GMC Hospital-Department of Pediatrics offers a wide range of services to children from the neonatal period till the age of 12 years, a healthy lifestyle is important to prevent many diseases. The best time to inculcate good eating habit is during childhood. To prevent these diseases in later life we have to start as early as when the child is in utero and early infancy. Parents need specific advice regarding this.

In continuation with our effort to do so we are pleased to inform you that GMC has organized the second GMC Healthy Baby contest 2008, which was the biggest and memorable event for Moms, Dads, Toddlers and Babies. The program is sponsored by Milupa, NMC, Threptin, T.S.Choithram & Sons, Palmers, Emke group, Abott Nutrition, Al Manama Hypermarket, Sebamed, Gulf Today, 106.2 Hum FM, Al Ain, GMC Health Magazine, Body and Soul Health Club, Blends and Brews Coffee Shop, and Thumbay Group.

The winners were awarded the prizes by our Chief Guest Prof. Geetha Ashok Raj, Dean of the college, Guest of Honour Mr. Taha, Prof. Mohammed Arifullah Director- New Programs & Development & Dr. Essam Atta Assistant Hospital Manager.

The Annual GMC Healthy Baby Contest is held to raise community awareness of the importance of teaching children good health and nutrition habits at an early age. Establishing proper habits starting in early childhood can lead to living a healthy lifestyle. The contest also promotes health consciousness among mothers regarding different factors affecting the health of children and how they could detect diseases in children at an early stage.
